The Aktino AK4000 product family enables the point-to-point transport of high-quality, high-bandwidth Carrier Ethernet services over bonded copper pairs. The AK4000 products bond together 2 to 14 copper pairs creating a symmetrical high-bandwidth link capable of delivering carrier-grade services throughout the entire CSA (12kft) and beyond (18kft).

The AK4000 product family consists of Central Office and Remote 1RU high units for 19" and 23" racks or for wall mounting. Environmentally hardened for any deployment scenario, the products can be either line powered or locally powered. This enables the products to be deployed in any field cabinet without requiring local power.

The AK4000 is a standards-based product family that provides superior performance and reliability compared to any other multi-pair copper products on the market. Along with meeting copper loop standards such as ANSI T1E1.417 which enables the AK4000 Ethernet services to co-exist with other services in a binder, the products are fully compliant with the IEEE 802.3ah (Ethernet in the First Mile standard) and IEEE 802.1 and 802.3 LAN protocol standards.
