The Aktino AK3000 product family enables the point-to-point transport of DS3 and fractional DS3 (Channelized, ATM and Clear Channel) services over bonded copper pairs. The AK3000 products bond together 2 to 14 copper pairs creating a symmetrical high-bandwidth link capable of delivering carrier-grade services throughout the entire CSA (12kft) and beyond (18kft).

The AK3000 product family consists of Central Office and Remote 1RU high units for 19" and 23" racks or for wall mounting. Environmentally hardened for any deployment scenario, the products can be either line powered or locally powered. This enables the products to be deployed in any field cabinet without requiring local power.

Unlike other bonded copper-based broadband systems, Aktino's AK3000 products deliver services that co-exist with existing services like ADSL, HDSL, etc. that reside in the same binder groups. The AK3000 products are T1.417 spectrally compliant at bit rates and reaches that current copper technologies cannot meet. All DS3 standards are met by the product.
